Massive theft at school, dozens of student cellphones disappears

Massive theft took place at SMA N 3 Sukoharjo on Wednesday. Dozens of students' cellphones disappeared when they had completed the Computer-Based National Examination (UNBK). As a result, UNBK was delayed for a while.

The theft occurred when the students for the first batch were in the exam room. The teachers told the students to leave their bags in the classroom.

“Theft occurs while students are taking exams. We locked every classroom before the exam started. However, we did not expect that there would be a theft which resulted in the loss of many student properties," said Supardi, one of the teachers in SMA N 3 Sukoharjo.

Supardi added that the school is still investigating who is the perpetrator behind the theft. They do not want to bring the case to the police and prefer to solve it in a friendly manner. The school gave an ultimatum to students who felt that they had committed the theft to confess immediately. 

The second and third batches of UNBK that day returned to continue their exams which were delayed due to the theft.
